The Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) position is associated with the implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) at the Gram Panchayat level. GRS personnel play an important role in supporting the execution and monitoring of employment and rural development activities within their assigned Panchayats.
Candidates for the position generally require a 12th standard (10+2) qualification along with basic computer literacy. The role is suitable for candidates who are interested in rural development, government schemes, community-level administration, and working directly with local communities.
GRS personnel assist in implementing MGNREGA activities, monitoring labour employment, maintaining relevant records and data, and supporting local development works carried out under the scheme. They may also coordinate with Gram Panchayat officials, workers, and other stakeholders to help ensure that approved employment and development activities are properly carried out.
The position provides an opportunity to contribute directly to rural employment generation and local infrastructure development while working at the grassroots level across Gram Panchayats in Baleswar district.
